Hillcrest Family Physicians is a group of experienced, caring family physicians. We have a strong cohort of doctors who provide prenatal as well as obstetrical care. Dr. Amanda Waldner graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine in 2014. She obtained full licensure in 2016 after completing her family medicine residency in Moose Jaw. Dr. Amanda Waldner obtained her Certification in the College of Family Physicians (CCFP) in 2016.
Dr. Amanda Waldner participates in a general practice including obstetrics, hospitalist, emergency and geriatric medicine. Presently, her practice accepts new prenatal referrals only.
She is a clinical assistant professor of the University of Saskatchewan and is active in mentoring resident physicians and medical students.
Dr. Wale Afolabi is a Psychiatrist trained in Ireland, board certified in Canada and the United Kingdom. He is an Associate Clinical Professor with the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan.
His special interest is in mood and anxiety disorders across the spectrum and a speaker on relevant topics. He is passionate about what he does and an avid advocate of mental health.
Outside of working as a physician, he is passionate about his kids, music and sports.
Graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine and Department of Family Medicine. He has been in practice in Moose Jaw since 1992. His special interests include Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Sports Medicine.
Dr. Braun is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. He is currently accepting new Obstetrical and Pediatric patients and their immediate family members if requested.
Dr. Mark Brown is a graduate of the University of Cape Town Faculty of Medicine and has been in Family practice in Moose Jaw since 1999. He has special interests in Pediatrics and Obstetrics. He is not accepting new patients at this time.
Dr. Brown is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine. He has served as SMA president and has a further special interest in Quality Improvement and System improvement.
Dr. Kevin Dautremont is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine and has been in family and general practice in Moose Jaw since 1989. He has special interests in obstetrics, geriatrics, and addiction medicine.
Dr. Dautremont is accepting new maternity patients and families with young children.
A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine, Dr. Hondl has been working in Moose Jaw since 2021.
She completed her residency program in Moose Jaw in 2023 and has since established a full-scope family medicine practice with a special interest in women’s health, prenatal care, and low-risk obstetrics and deliveries. Dr. Hondl also provides procedures including lumps and bumps removal, as well as IUD and Nexplanon Insertion/removal. In addition, she occasionally assists with surgeries at the hospital and also teaches medical students and residents as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Faculty Advisor.
Dr Hondl is currently accepting new prenatal patients, referral not required.
Outside the office Dr Hondl (like Honda the car but with an L instead of an A) can be found on the slo-pitch field, lost in a good book, or binging movies with her partner and doggo.”
